SensMax SMX TS data gateway for reading data from real-time people counters and customer survey buttons.
This data gateway is designed to read data from real-time people counting sensors and real-time customer survey buttons using a radio channel. Is act as the central hub in a wireless sensor network, collecting data from multiple wireless sensors.
The SensMax SMX TS data gateway transmit information to an online reporting portal via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, providing flexible connectivity options tailored to different environments and infrastructures. The gateway retrieves sensor data in real-time. It also supports direct data export using the MQTT protocol, which offers an easy way to integrate data into third-party reporting applications.
All SensMax SMX TS real-time gateways support both Ethernet and Wi-Fi 2.4GHz WPA2-PSK connectivity. Ethernet connection takes priority, and when an RJ-45 Ethernet cable is connected, the gateway will automatically use this type of connection. If the Ethernet connection is unavailable, the device will switch to the selected Wi-Fi network for internet access.
There are two versions of the gateway, each with a different communication range:
Gateways are compatible with real-time people counting and real-time customer survey sensors such as D3 LR TS, D3 SLR TS L3 LR TS and L3 SLR TS models. The SMX TS real-time gateway can handle up to 20 sensors simultaneously. It’s important to note that devices must be within the same range to connect — SMX LR TS gateways should only connect to LR TS sensors. The gateway retrieves data from the people counting sensors and customer survey buttons in real-time and forwards it to the SensMax online reporting portal.
The SMX TS gateway has built-in memory capable of storing hourly data backups for up to 80 days per 5-minute time span. Backup days are located in up to 80 memory blocks and each memory block stores 24 hours of data in 5-minute intervals. The memory blocks are shared among the connected sensors. Bidirectional D3 TS sensors use 2 memory blocks each, while L3 TS loyalty buttons take up 3 blocks. For example, if one D3 TS sensor is connected, the data collector can store up to 40 days of data in 5-minute intervals, but 10 D3 TS sensors store up to 4 days of data for each sensor.
