SensMax SMX data gateway is designed for reading statistics from wireless people counters and customer survey buttons.
SensMax SMX data gateway is a device for reading data from wireless people counting sensors and customer survey buttons via radio channel. These data collectors serve as the central hub in a wireless sensor network, aggregating data from multiple sensors across various locations. Once the data is collected, the SensMax SMX devices transmit the information to a centralized server using Wi-Fi or Ethernet, offering flexible connectivity options to suit different environments and infrastructures.
The gateway reads information from sensors every 20 minutes and delivers it to the SensMax online reporting portal. The SMX data gateway supports direct data export via the MQTT protocol which is a convenient way how to integrate data into 3rd party reporting tools.
All SensMax SMX gateways support Ethernet and Wi-Fi 2.4GHz WPA2-PSK connectivity. The Ethernet connection takes priority. When an RJ-45 Ethernet cable is plugged into the network, the SensMax SMX data collector will automatically use it. If the Ethernet network is unavailable, the device will switch to the selected Wi-Fi network to connect to the internet.
There are three modifications of the gateway with different communication ranges:
SensMax SMX data gateway supports data reading from these people counting and customer survey sensors: SensMax S1, SensMax D3, and SensMax Loyalty Button. SensMax SMX Pro gateway can serve up to 10 sensors, but SMX LR and SMX SLR models can serve up to 30 sensors simultaneously. Please note that you need to use devices of the same range so they can connect, for example, the SLR gateway should be used only with the SLR sensors. The gateway reads the statistics data from the people counting sensors and customer survey buttons every 20 minutes and forwards it to the SensMax online reporting portal or locally installed SensMax server. The gateway has a built-in memory for 25 days of hourly data backup.
